Every life on earth wants to live longer. Man is an advanced life. We should not only reproduce the next generation, but also create a so-called civilization and hope to live longer. People never die, technically.
Because from a personal perspecctive, the longer we live, we can enjoy more resources in society, and spend more time doing what we want to do to satisfy our instinctive needs. And some people believe that as long as they live long enough, they will definitely find the truly meaning of living. In fact, we will never achieve the goal of being immortal, but we want to make every effort to be closer to immortality, for instance, the evolution of human beings.
